Dynamic, passionate & innovative. An authentically African communications professional, dedicated to corroborating the global narrative of environmental justice of the Climate & Ecological Emergency in modern times; to the right audience - at the right time.  

Claire has over 20 years of international working experience in the Marketing and Communications industry. Career niches include Strategic Communications, Marketing Strategy & Best Practice, Writing/Editing, Thought Leadership, Public Relations, Crisis Communications, Stakeholder Relations, Media Training & Tactical Activation Production.

With an established international client list, Claire remains an environmentalist at heart. Apart from her day job, she is an Earth Warrior, Scuba Divemaster, Rescue Diver, Shark Diving Specialist, crew member for the National Sea Rescue Institute of South Africa and founder of a Non-profit Organisation for various ocean conservation campaigns. She is currently based in South Africa.

    Founder & Director
Nicolás has going on 20 years of national, international, political and organisational communications, as well journalism experience, spanning four continents. Brought up in a Colombian and Cypriot-South African household, multiculturalism is his way of life. Past employers includes the US Department of State, the EU’s European Commission, renown Colombian daily El Espectador, Africa’s biggest broadcaster, SABC, and George Soros’ Open Society Foundations. 

Following a Climate Leader training with Al Gore in 2018, Nicolás launched himself as climate activist, first with the Climate Reality Project followed by Extinction Rebellion. Co-founder of Spain's national chapter, he volunteered his skills and set-up its groundbreaking National Comms Commission, instrumental in pushing through the “Climate and Environmental Emergency" declaration. After Madrid's COP 26 (UN climate conference) Nicolás established and coordinated XR Global’s international PR circle. He is currently based in Spain.

With over 10 year experience in corporate customer service, public relations and communications, Jakelin specialises in start-up and innovative projects, with international 360 degree PR results for media, embassies, chambers of commerce and governments in Latin America and Europe. Her career has taken her to Brazil, Germany and Spain and holds a Bachelors degree in International Business from Mexico's renown Technological Institute of High Studies of Monterrey and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from University of Salamanca, Spain.

Jakie's multicultural background and ample experience in diverse markets and social media management brings unique gender, youth and hispanic insights to a fast changing world, keeping clients satisfied with her eagle eye for change and trend-setting. She is currently based in Mexico.

Ngondo

Communications & Africa
Mwayi is a communications and corporate affairs professional with 10 years of experience of working within Emerging Markets in Africa. Engaging, articulate, methodical and proactive she counts with 10 years of experience working within various sectors of African markets, both private and public, including the South African radio stations and the Zambian Electoral Commission where she oversaw an acclaimed "get out and vote" electoral campaign. A confident negotiator with an exceptional ability to build solutions-based stakeholder relationships, her attention to detail has enabled the fulfilment of short, mid and long term objectives throughout her career. 

Conscious of how Africa is set to bear the brunt of the Climate and Ecological Emergency, Mwayi joined The Clima, where preaching follows action, spearheading a team to position Africa as a leader in climate change mitigation and adaption, and drawing attention to local communities' plights. She is currently based in Zambia.
